Green Light for Faster Emergency Response
EVAM has chosen Digitraffic Infrastruktur AB’s product Link V2X to expand its range of services for emergency authorities in Sweden. By integrating Link V2X into its ‘Vehicle Services’ platform, EVAM can offer turnkey solutions such as green light for faster emergency response (traffic signal priority) to its customers.
Digitraffic’s product Link V2X is based on open European standards, which ensures that EVAM’s customers become part of a growing ecosystem and gain access solutions from European road authorities for services such as traffic signal priorization, green light speed advisory and time to green. The collaboration means that over 700 emergency vehicles in Sweden can benefit from improved traffic flow and increased road safety.
A New Era for Emergency Authorities
By integrating Link V2X with EVAM’s platform, emergency vehicles can communicate directly with traffic infrastructure in real time, allowing lights to adjust automatically and clear the way for faster, safer emergency response. This not only reduces response times but also minimizes the risk of accidents at intersections, making roads safer for both emergency personnel and the general public.
By combining EVAM’s innovative platform with Digitraffic’s connected vehicle technology, we can now offer a solution that makes a real difference in the daily work of emergency personnel. The collaboration also enables additional smart services such as “Emergency Vehicle Approaching” notifications, which alert nearby connected vehicles and infrastructure of an oncoming emergency vehicle. This further enhances situational awareness for all road users and supports a more coordinated and safer traffic environment.
